Panasonic DMR-E95HS DVD Recorder w/ 160GB Hard Drive Buy.com has the Panasonic DMR-E95HS DVD Recorder (including a 160GB hard drive and DVD recorder) for $339.99. I'm VERY tempted. I usually try to avoid things that will make me watch more television. I rarely video tape anything since the X-Files went off the air. However, Law and Order (the original) qualifies. I'm just afraid I'll end up with 200 hours of episodes to watch! LOL! Anyway, this is a pretty cool unit. The number one reason I like it is that it does NOT require a subscription! It also uses the TV Guide On Screen information. You can dump information from a video camera to this unit. And, it has a built-in DVD recorder that does DVD-R and DVD-RAM (it does not appear to do dual-layer, though.) The biggest downside is that it does not have a "network" connection. For this kinda money, I expect my gadgets to be networkable! :-)
